LEGO Digital Designer version 4.3.11
If you try to open an file created by an earlier version of LDD, you might get an error beep and some parts might not be displayed. In that case, try importing the model, which will perform the necessary changes.
What is an LXF file?
The LEGO Digital Designer 4.3 User Manual is included with the software and stored in Program Files (x86)/LEGO Company/LEGO Digital Designer/Help/en-manual/ The Readme file contains system requirements and the latest information about the software release. It is stored in Program Files (x86)/LEGO Company/LEGO Digital Designer/Help/en-manual/ Both files are available in German and English, can be displayed by any browser, and can be accessed externally (main menu) and internally (program help menu)
The opening dialog shows a selection panel on the right with recently used models, an "Open another file" icon and a "Free build" icon. LDD models have an extension. To load an existing model click Open existing file and select the model. The top of the opening dialog contains three tabs, named "Digital Designer", "Mindstorms" and "Digital Designer Extended". These are themes that determine the contents of the parts library. At any moment, the theme can be changed using Menu > View > New Themes. The default theme, Digital Designer, contains a part library with available colors for each part. More about themes in Tips & Tricks.
Well, there is one possible solution, and it comes in the form of a program called Mecabricks. Mecabricks is a web-based LEGO designer. What does that mean? It means that the software runs entirely in your web-browser. You need an internet connection for it all to work, but there’s nothing to load. Most importantly, it doesn’t matter what sort of device you have or what operating systems it runs. As long as it has a web browser that supports WebGL (which is most of them these days), it should work just fine.
GoodSync 9.9.16 adds several new bug fixes and reliability improvements. This is not a security update.

This month marks the beginning of a new Microsoft update policy of packaging updates in group rollups instead of individually for different applications, even for older supported operating systems like Windows 7 and 8.1. As of this month Microsoft will release all Windows-tied security patches in the same file each month, with a separate non-security update package and other minor updates for feature and compatibility fixes. What this means for you is that Windows will now impose security updates once they’ve passed limited testing, and will deal with the aftermath of inevitable failures after Patch Tuesday with additional rollups. Don’t get me wrong, the security updates are essential to good computing, but without the ability to selectively exclude known-bad updates after internal testing is performed, this is going to create a situation where most enterprise environments delay updates even longer. The only safe resolution for this is to have full backups and be prepared to perform a reset or system restore should, well, the inevitable disaster occur. And I get this: WinSCP 5.9.2 fixes several bugs. This is not a security update. GitHub Desktop 3.3.1 is a security update. XSplit Broadcaster 2.8.1607.1944 fixes several bugs. This is not a security update.
